Vet Assistant / Cremation Specialist / Pawbearer

Angel’s Paws offers amazing end of life care to very grateful pets and their parents.  We have openings for veterinary assistants to assist in all aspects of end-of-life care, from connecting with families during that very first phone call, through the return of their beloved pets ashes in our chapel or to their home and everything in between.  Angel’s Paws provides a special level of care in this process that assures the pet parent that their pet is being treated with dignity, love, and respect the entire time they are in our care. They stay snuggled in a warm blanket and pillow until time for their cremation. We do not have any freezers on our property.

We need your talents to…

• Coordinate support services that will provide a beautiful and dignified transition experience for pets and their families

• Offer emotional support to people who consider their pets family

• Perform high quality, private, cremation services (training provided)

• Transport pets lovingly from their homes into our care with compassion and dignity

• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record and willingness to drive company car is required

• The ability to occasionally lift heavy pets (some up to 200 lbs with assistance of another person and or equipment) is required

• Opportunity to learn how to schedule clinical appointments and aftercare wishes

• Computer literacy and willingness to use company software is required

• Create personalized memorial packages for pets in our care

• Schedule and host chapel returns

• Play an integral role in managing the information flow between our clients and staff

• Manage email flow and incoming faxes, coordinating among clients, our staff and partnering veterinary hospitals

• Assist families in selecting the perfect urn or memento they can cherish

The successful candidate will be…

• Someone with experience in, and a passion for, veterinary assisting

• Compassionate and detail oriented

• Have the ability to work independently and as a team player

• Someone who maintains a high level of compassion and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

• Someone with the ability to do light maintenance, building and equipment repair a plus

Schedule:

• Full-time, Second shift 10 hour workdays 1pm-11pm

• Two shift schedules: Sunday through Wednesday OR Wednesday through Saturday on a rotating 4/3 schedule resulting in 3 days off one week and 4 days off the next

Registered Vet Tech

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time registered vet tech to:

• Coordinate support services that will provide a beautiful and dignified transition experience for pets and their families

• Offer emotional support to people who consider their pets family

• Provide an amazing in-home euthanasia experience

• Provide animal care and case management promoting quality of life

• Speak with and enroll new clients to give them peace of mind

• Find, order and stock advanced and pioneering medical supplies

Training for hospice and home euthanasia will be provided. Angel's Paws recognizes the importance of self-care and respite, so we offer a unique schedule and benefits. Requirements:

• Registered Veterinary Technician (Ohio)

• Seasoned experience is a plus, 3+ years of experience preferred

A compassionate, reliable and experienced veterinarian to join our growing business
Licensed in Kentucky and Ohio
6+ years of experience is preferred

Care for pets during the end of life, offering emotional support to their families
Provide compassionate in-home euthanasia, in-home pet hospice and palliative care, quality of life assessments, pain management (or any combination of these services) to pets.
Focus on client and pet interactions, with a full support team from intake coordinators, registered vet techs, mental health professionals, and cremation specialists.

Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time assistant to provide a full spectrum of administrative and clerical support for Angel’s Paws and associated non-profit, Angel’s Watch.

We are looking for…
·  Someone who has compassionate interpersonal and customer service skills, prioritizing clients and their experience
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
·  Capability to organize work efficiently, set priorities and establish plans or timetables for achieving goals
·  Ability to operate, maintain and facilitate improvements to proprietary database
·  A high level of confidentiality that is required for work associated with counseling services
·  Ability to exercise diplomacy in all facets of the job
·  Fluency with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
·  Experience with Photoshop, Canva, and Google tools are advantageous
·  Technology, computer software, troubleshooting and IT knowledge is advantageous
·   Experience with aspects of human resources is preferred, but not required
·   Skill for writing articles, technical and narrative, is a plus

We need your talents to…
·  Greet and direct visitors within the facility with compassion for their experience
·  Be a comforting voice, provide telephone coverage, route calls appropriately, serve as a phone contact and resource for resolving requests for information, and place after-service follow-up calls.
·  Support various Human Resources functions within the organization including assisting with recruiting by posting job openings and screening of potential candidates.
·  Coordinate the formal and informal communication associated with the office
·  Prepare routine reports and assist with basic accounting and financial management
·  Facilitate volunteer coordination within building and at external events
·  Assist with non-profit donor tracking and acknowledgements, fundraising events, and communications
·  Assist with technology such as installation and troubleshooting issues with software and office machines, support basic cyber and physical security procedures.
·  Provide oversight of inventory and ordering of supplies and marketing materials
·  Assist with writing and editing content for social media and website

Requirements:
·  3+ years of experience, seasoned experience is a plus
·  College background in executive assistant program preferred
·  Strong client centered individual focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences
·  Experience in veterinary care or death care preferred
·  Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desire to help but don’t know what to do?…
We are often asked to transport pets to our facility for cremation and need extra assistance. Must be able to lift heavy dogs to help load them from their home to car and/or from car into our facility in Blue Ash. Pay is per case.
